It was interesting to read a book about food. I am a Pesco-vegetarians, whom don't eat meats but seafood and dairy product, because the meat just disgusted me. My family own some restaurant business. When I was a kid, my mom wouldn't let me eat some of the food from our restaurant. I thought it's that she was so stingy. As I am growing up, I realize that my mom just wouldn't want me to have those frozen food that have been kept so long. I felt the same as the author, Kurt Timmermeister, of Growing a Farmer, that the need of providing freshest food to the customers.
However, it was not easy to earn a lot of money when providing the freshest food at the same time. I admire Kurt's courage in chasing his dream, selling his restaurants, and growing his own farm. I wish I can keep chasing my dream, in building the best quality of housing in Taiwan, like he does, not being defeated by the harsh economy and financial world. Kurt studied international affairs in Paris, and open restaurants at the age of twenty-four to fourty-two. His major doesn't related to growing a farm, and he wouldn't let the old age stopping him from doing the things he loves for life. His story is telling me that, it's never too late to start doing the things I am passionated about.
